We hit this restaurant on a recent trip uptown to see the Light the Knights holiday display. It is a short walk from the stadium and only a block off of Tryon street. We had a very easy time getting a table for two, and our server, Alyssia, was outstanding from beginning to end. The ambience was nice and welcome, and the food was great! We loved the "M16" and the "Rock & Roll" sushi and the Beef Negimaki appetizer was delicious as well. We'd definitely recommend for anyone headed uptown.

We found this place while walking back to our hotel and getting caught in the rain. We ducked in to get dry and found the best sushi we've ever had! The servers were friendly and attentive, the sushi was great, the shrimp shumai was on point and they were having a 5 dollar martini special. So glad we stopped there. Highly recommended
Loved eating here. We visited Red Ginger for a birthday. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. Everyone was incredibly nice and never had to wait for service. The food was fresh and delicious. They serve fresh vegetables that is not full of peas but with lots os zucchini, carrots, onions and mushrooms. So delicious. Yes I definitely recommend Red Ginger!
My friends & I spend most of our birthday celebrations at Hibachi and we decided to try Red Ginger!! Food: 10/10 yum!!!!! Service: service was so good!!! Ashley is by far the best server we have had Experience: overall it was a great environment, was fast and entertaining!! Parking: 5 stars!! The parking is perfect for downtown, as you can park in the parking deck across the street from Red Ginger and they validate it inside. This isn't always the case in downtown so was a plus!! Would recommend Red Ginger for a date night out, or a way to celebrate / sit around the table with friends!!
Walking distance from the Sheraton and Le Méridien. Came here twice for lunch during the week. It's a busy spot, but great lunch specials. The sushi is fresh and good. Portions are pretty big for lunch. I tried the sashimi lunch special and the sushi/sashimi lunch special with comes with soup or salad. I couldn't finish it all! There are hibachi tables too. If you sit at a regular table, you can order hibachi as well. Not too loud, so it was great to have a lunch meeting and chat with colleagues.
The food is delicious! We read the comments about a long wait so we got there pretty early. Around 5pm on a Saturday and we really enjoyed ourselves and food was so good! Would highly recommend.
I took my team to Red Ginger last night for our holiday dinner. The restaurant was rather loud, however, that is to be expected at hibachi. Our chef was very nice and to be honest his service was fast. I don't know if I was hungry or what but it just seemed like he wasted no time getting straight to the point. While the food was very good. the chef was heavy on the garlic. I also would've preferred extra egg in my rice, but I guess I didn't ask nonetheless I'll be back. They would've got four stars however, the waitress forgot to add gratuity to my first bill and ran the card, and then proceeded to run the card again for the second transaction with the gratuity added. So yes the card was run 2x. I found that to be annoying as she had to avoid the original transaction.
